We moved to the area recently and stopped by for breakfast and lunch the same day. Great little cafe with organic and local choices. The ham biscuit with chili jelly is spectacular! A must try in the area.

Great little coffee stop on my way to S. PA. My decaf mocha was lovely and the staff was equally lovely. Lots of smiles and happy customers unlike many places we frequent in the Washington, DC area. If I'm ever in the area, I will remember to stop in.

The Fox and Fern is a gem that is the restaurant wasteland that is Bel Air. I have tried their coffee, cinnamon buns, salads, and sandwiches. Everything I have tried has been good. The cinnamon buns are especially memorable. The coffee is ok- I am not a fan of Counter Culture beans. It is too bad they did not go with a local roaster like Zeke's. Missed opportunity there. The sandwiches and salads are of excellent quality. You get what you pay for.

Had lunch with a friend for the first time in this cute little cafe. We got there right around lunch time and it was already busy but plenty of seats were still available. The menu is small but offers a lot of different selections. The serving sizes are large and filling. I ordered the BLT and it was delicious. My friend had the quesadilla and she said the same thing. Can't wait to go back.

Neat little café type place. Had breakfast here twice, maybe a half dozen breakfast selections plus some pastries & scones. Had the F & F breakfast the first time; delicious scrambled eggs, sliced avocado and some tasty cherry tomatoes with bacon and a biscuit for 7 bucks and the huevos rancheros ( burrito with egg tomato avocado & bacon) for 6 bucks this time. Order at the counter, paper plate, plastic utensils type place, decent coffee. Good fresh food tucked in a little strip center.

I ate here with my mother. We LOVED it. We both ate the chicken salad club sandwich which was AMAZING. The homemade lemonade was delicious. The atmosphere was very relaxing and "cafe" like. Kind-of shabby-chic. The cashier was nice. Good place for lunch dates. If you eat here, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Their sandwiches are to die for! Found this gem through a Groupon. Be sure to sample their hot apple cider!

Quaint litle gem buried in a strip mall. A very gourmet menu, but falls short on your expectations. Ham and cheese biscuit uses a wafer thin sliced ham with basic lunch meat flavor and a buttery bisquit, not a bad choice for a breakfast sandwich Chickeb cesar wrap is of expected size, but lacking the expected experience in your mouth. Chicken is so dry it borders on beef jerky while the store bought crutons do mothing to add moisture to the sandwich. Dressing is overly "anchovy", paying no respect to the traditional cesar salad

Out of town and was searching for a breakfast place. Stumbled upon Fox & Fern. The warm cozy feeling as you enter as well as the friendly staff was a great start. Both my husband and I ordered the hues rancheros. The price was right, it was absolutely delicious and quite filling. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I used to work nearby here, and when they were building it, everyone was in the office was quite exicited for it's arrival. Well I left before it was finished, but I went back, and let's just say, it's probably a good thing that I don't work there anymore. I'd be the size of a house! Home baked pastries, and not just your typical cinnamon rolls (while they have those too) but interesting flavors of scone and muffin as well. House made soups with vegetarian options if you wish. Priced appropriately for Forest Hill residents, meaning, a sandwich (while delicious) is $8 and there's not a soda fountain to be had. Heck, there isn't even a filtered water fountain if they're shooting for natural and healthy. I live in south eastern Baltimore county, so I don't make it up that way often normally but if for whatever reason I found myself in Forest Hill, I'd eat here again.

Wonderful break from the road - lovely cakes, and as we arrived just before closing it was happy hour. A delight.

Don't overlook this place, as we have for too long. Friendly, with a pleasant environment and good food.

Every time I go here they are out something! Almond milk, soy milk, get it together! The grocery store it a one minute drive, it's not that difficult. I will not return due to my frustrations. I will compliment on the scones, well done.

Stopped in the other day for an americano. It's a cute place and has a welcoming enough setup. The service was friendly and attentive. Coffee was pretty good (they serve Counter Culture) - best in this part of town anyway (or perhaps all of Bel Air). I'll definitely return for coffee when I'm in the area. As for the rest of the offerings, mostly meat oriented and looks like just salads for gluten-free options (some decent gluten-free bread might peak more interest for me). I like to see that they source locally when possible.

I am re-reviewing Fox and Fern because it 100% deserves it! I had originally gave a 4 star rating bc I had originly thought the prices were a little high but I retract that thought :). This place is a true gem and I couldn't be happier that's is 2 minutes from my house. The food is excellent and the service is fabulous. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. If you drop in for breakfast do yourself a favor and get a homemade biscuit with the homemade jelly!

The Fox and Fern is almost hidden behind a hill on Route 24 just up the road from Red Pump Rd. We're glad we found it. The atmosphere is inviting with a couple living room-style big chairs and nice quality wood tables and chairs. The menu is different from most other cafe-style restaurants. We stopped in around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday, and the place was almost filled up. I had a turkey club sandwich with bacon and very good cheddar cheese. My daughter had the grilled cheese sandwich and my wife had the ham and cheese biscuit. The food took a little while to come out, but when it did we understood why. Each meal was prepared and cooked to perfection. The owner, Jim White, came out and stopped by to check on our satisfaction. He explained how the menu would change every so often, but that all items would have his family's special touch. His two sons, one of whom majored in culinary arts, helped ensure quality was present and presented, all with reasonable prices. We heartily recommend this restaurant and plan on going back many more times.

Clean, cute decor, friendly staff. I ordered the turkey/cheddar panini - delicious. Had a soy latte and a choc. chip cookie for dessert. Coffee and cookie were also very good. It was my first visit, and we went at an odd time of day, around 3:30, so it was not very busy. I hope they have some regular, returning customers. Sure would hate to see them go away. Nice to have more and more options in tiny little Forest Hill. Go check it out, and spread the word.

Fresh, tasty, original sandwiches, soups and salads. So unlike the endless pizza palaces, fast food and Chinese that seem to have overtaken this part of Harford county. Vegetarian and vegan options, and not just another anonymous chain restaurant. A little pricey, but worth it if you're looking for something fresh and unique for lunch!

Well walked in to a cute hip looking place but left disappointed. Small portions, expensive and just lacking as a great lunch spot with yummy food. Hope as they grow they make a few changes in serving sizes, choices and warmth. Not sure we will go back.
